• The Mathematics 2.0 Victorian Curriculum will be used to direct students learning.
• The curriculum will focus on developing and using mathematical understanding, fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
• Students will engage in Mathematics, through exposure to a range of hands on and interactive tasks.
• They will develop their number sense throughout the year by practising to recognise, read and interpret numbers to assist them in their place value and counting knowledge.
• We will encourage our students to become problem solvers, to ensure they develop strategies to solve the problems and then be able to explain their thinking.
