The Mathematics 2.0 Victorian Curriculum will be used to direct students learning.
The curriculum will focus on developing and using mathematical understanding, fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
Students will engage in Mathematics, through exposure to a range of hands on and interactive tasks.
They will develop their number sense throughout the year by practising to recognise, read and interpret numbers to assist them in their place value and counting knowledge.
We will encourage our students to become problem solvers, to ensure they develop strategies to solve the problems and then be able to explain their thinking.
